LEADERSHIP TEAM
At the heart of the IBTI is a dynamic, international, intergenerational leadership team committed to guiding and nurturing the growth of the college. Each person brings unique gifts and perspectives, serving in various areas of the college’s mission and operations.
In line with their culture of godly partnership and legacy, John and Eliana have initiated a transition process with Lisa and Davide where they will take on the primary leadership of the college in July 2025. Lisa and Davide have spent many years assisting and learning from Eliana and John, and this spirit of collaboration and mentorship will carry on beyond that as Eliana and John continue to serve the college through teaching, consulting, and providing leadership in key areas, ensuring the seamless continuity of the vision and values which have shaped the legacy of IBTI.
Lisa and Davide are deeply excited at the privilege of building on the faithful work of Eliana, John, and all those who led before as they guide the college into this next season. With an incredible team stepping up to take part in this transition, they are confident the college will be strategically positioned to make the greatest possible impact for both the current and future generations of students and others, equipping individuals for discipleship and advancing the mission of the Kingdom of God through their lives and ministries.
DAVIDE LENTINI
LEADER IN TRANSITION
Whether cheering for his favourite football team or baking a perfect Italian focaccia, Davide exercises zeal in his everyday. Since being a student at IBTI in 2019, where he met his wife, Lisa, and pursuing certification as an AoG GB minister, Davide’s heart for mission has continued to take shape. Having spent time on the mission field abroad, his desire is to see the IBTI grow in its missional impact: to forge stronger connections with the global church and bring the Gospel message to unreached communities.
LISA LENTINI
LEADER IN TRANSITION
A history buff at heart, Lisa has a passion for learning that spills into many areas of her life. After studying at IBTI, she went on to gain certification as an AoG GB minister and pursue a BA in Theology. Speaking five European languages herself, Lisa loves the thriving cross-cultural and intergenerational dynamic of the college community. Her passion for kingdom discipleship and global mission feeds her eagerness to see the college play a significant role in these areas on a wider scale.
JOHN WHYTE
OPERATIONS DIRECTOR
John and his wife, Eliana, have been in ministry together since 1986, first in Spain as AoG GB missionaries and church planters, then at the IBTI as volunteers and Directors. John would tell you that, as a man who grew up on his cousin’s ranch, horses are a man’s best friend. But once you get to know him you discover his true passion is people: the walking side by side, the everyday living, serving, and challenging one another in Christ. His daily desire is to model the missional heart of God and to teach and reproduce that heart in others. No wonder he loves his service to the community as a NHS chaplain.
ELIANA WHYTE
PRINCIPAL
Ministering together with her husband as an AoG GB missionary for nearly 40 years, Eliana has served at the IBTI since 2003. She carries a remarkable gift for teaching—one that deeply transforms the lives of her students, inspiring growth, purpose, and a deeper walk with God. Possessing a powerful anointing for hospitality, Eliana has gathered people around the banquet table for years out of love for Christ’s community. Her desire is for the IBTI to demonstrate and reproduce this kingdom culture where the training, raising, and discipling of people is done within community. In addition, Eliana also serves as a valued member of the Board of Directors for the Assemblies of God Great Britain.

The Board members support IBTI by overseeing its mission and vision, guiding strategic initiatives, and ensuring that IBTI remains aligned with its core values. Their spiritual wisdom, experience, and dedication are integral to the ongoing impact and legacy of IBTI.
